I've gone batty

Or hatty. These hats are driving me crazy. I just want to scrap the whole thing. I can't get the child hats to show up in the right place (although the toddler hats work just fine), and I have no idea why. Plus, every time I need to change something, I have to change it in 40 files, so I'm pretty tired of this stupid project at this point.

If EA/Maxis had just done its job and included these hats for kids in the first place... But that seems to be their way. "Oh, just leave it. The player will fix it." Yeah... great business strategy. Good thing EA isn't a car company. We'd be installing our own steering wheels or something.

I've got a few projects coming down the pipeline. There's some new outerwear for girls (it's in the moderation queue over at MTS2 as I type this). I'm also working on some hats for girls. There really weren't any decent ones in the game... for kids. There were plenty for adults, so I'm trying my hand at converting the meshes. Easier said than done. But I don't think I'm doing too badly. I've got the black-haired versions done. Now I just need to make the red, blonde, and brown versions, and it'll be good to go.

Honestly, I don't know why Maxis didn't include this for little girls in the first place. It's not exactly something that's strictly for older women.

These are based on a hidden mesh that was in the game, but not part of the game (if that makes sense). There was still work to do on it, which is perhaps why Maxis didn't include it to begin with. Oh, well. That just gives us creators stuff to do.

Coming soon: I know that the shorts mesh has already been done, but it was done with bare feet (which you can only do so much with before they start to look weird). So I made a shorts mesh that has shoes. Here's a sneak preview:

I've really been slacking on the swimwear. I realized that I hadn't uploaded any for girls since my Polka-Dot Swimsuits way back in May of 2008!

Oh, wait. I did do the Girls' Swim Shorts in June. I've done so many clothing sets I can't keep track anymore.
